OnePlus 8 review

Finally I received the package, today I do OnePlus 8 review, a great smartphone of excellent quality although this time I expected something more.

OnePlus company has been producing top-of-the-range phones since it began the business, just as other Chinese brands such as Oppo and Xiaomi represent the cheapest alternative to the two prestigious brands such as Apple and Samsung. The OnePlus 8 is more expensive than previous models of about 100 $, it is aimed at two types of customers: those who are looking for a smartphone without spending 1000 $ and those who like to have a performance and solid phone.

OnePlus 8 is in a highly competitive price range with the various Huawei, Google, Samsung and Apple but what sets it apart is the cheap price because it allows you to navigate with 5G.

OnePlus 8 has a 6.55-inch screen with FHD resolution, the curved glass joins back and front surfaces divided by a small layer of aluminum that supports the structure. OnePlus8 offers a display with exceptional colors, brightness is high in fact under the sun you have a comfortable view, remember that the latest OnePlus models are designed to block blue light ,allowing in the evening greater eyes’s protection.

The display update speed is 90 hz, extremely fast don’t be affected by the fact that competito has reached up to 120 Hz. Fingerprint reader is located under the glass near bottom edge, the response of the OnePlus 8 is fast and there is also the ability to unlock your smartphone with facial recognition (face ID).

OnePlus 8’s performance is as always a guarantee, it has a Snapdragon 865 with 8 Gb of memory, a real bomb in terms of speed, do not forget that I subject every technological device to stress tests (trading platforms, social networks, video games) and the exam was passed with flying colors.

Battery is 4300 mAh, the lifespan is impressive in fact I managed to use the phone for more than 24 hours without noticing any kind of problem, consumes really little and in 30/35 minutes thanks to 30W charger it gets full of energy.

OnePlus 8 camera meets the excellent quality standards to which it has accustomed us for years now, we talk about 48 Mp with a good resolution in every light condition with color and accurate exposure. The wide-angle front is 16 megapixels very interesting but honestly I did not notice big differences in the pictures’s level shots compared to OnePlus 7 T , what has been improved is the wide-angle because at night photos remained sharper than other smartphones.

Video quality of OnePlus 8 is very good although this time I expected something more, the 4K footage that I shot was not bad but I think the company can improve resolution quality.

I end this OnePlus 8 review with a satisfactory judgment both in terms of design and performance, I always expect something more from this brand because I know the high quality standards. I regret the lack of IP68 certification however to be a smartphone with 5G connectivity is always part of the top of the range.
