Google Pixel 4a Review

Finally in my hands arrived, and after 3 days of testing, I do the Google Pixel 4a review, an interesting smartphone at a strategic price.

It’s been months since Mountain View company made announcements about Google Pixel 4a, before you buy it you have to put yourself on the waiting list while deliveries will be in fall.

Before I talked about strategic price, because it is a model that will annoy two smartphones, the OnePlus North and iPhone SE, it is as if Google had waited until the last moment to give the market a shot.

Google Pixel 4a is priced at 349 dollars, I call it a mid-range smartphone, it weighs 143 grams, a real feather in your pocket, the screen is 5.83′, very comfortable and compact when it is in your hands.

I liked it aesthetically, Google did a better job than previous models (XL, Pixel 3a), the smaller screen size didn’t create problems watching Netflix and YouTube.

On the right side, Google Pixel 4a has the power button that has a different color than the others, in the evening in low light conditions is very useful, other detail for wire lovers, you will find a socket for the audio jack at the top.

If you turn the smartphone you will find the fingerprint reader, it is very close to the camera, it is fast in unlocking but the position behind does not drive me crazy. Perhaps to limit the price Google has made this decision, the best place for fingerprints is in front.

Let’s talk about hardware,Google Pixel 4a comes with Snapdragon 730 processor, it’s fast and for the price is a great compromise. We have 128 Gb of storage and 6 Gb of Ram, it is not expandable in fact the slot can only hold the Sim card.

Battery is 3140 mAH, good life let’s talk about 15 consecutive hours without problems, if you use your phone normally without using social, Whatsapp or other apps at the same time, the battery lasts more than a day.

Charger is 18 w, there is no wireless charging available and the Face ID is missing, so you can only unlock it with the fingerprint behind.

OLED screen has a definition 1080 x 2340 pixels, the colors are good, the images defined although when I was at the beach in the sun I struggled with brightness.

I did not like audio quality, I made some calls and my friends had some difficulties, in Gps mode Google Maps’s driving voice was difficult to hear, I had to put the volume at 70%.

Google Pixel 4a has a 12.2 megapixel camera, 8 megapixels the front one for selfies, lacks the wide-angle a real disappointment the choice not to put it.

Pictures quality is very good, it is not an iPhone or OnePlus but for the price justifies the quality of material. I took so many photos in different light conditions, did not like the zoom little magnification, 4K videos have an excellent definition.

Operating system is Android 10 developed by Google (you can test the Beta Android 11 version), the interface is customizable to your liking and is fast when using it.

I end this review of Google phone with a positive rating, it is suitable for users who do not want to spend too much money but love a compact and reliable tool.
